Wolff/SMG provides third-party mailing services to its customers. Orders arrived in the form of a comma-separated text or *.csv file. The files were then imported into Microsoft Excel, and all processing was completed using Excel’s features.

Because of the sheer volume of orders processed in a single week (over 80,000 per week), managing work orders and invoices became a liability. Invoicing was up to 3 months late due to the inability to reconcile customer orders with work orders and their costs.
